DALLAS RESIDNCE

We just got back from a two week vacation during which we spent one week at the Dallas Residence. To be honest, we were a bit nervous about staying in Varna because we wanted a really restful vacation and weren’t too sure if a city was the right place for it (even though it’s the biggest coastal city). But after spending our second week at the Golden Sands, I must say, we both enjoyed our stay at this hotel more than anything. The area is peaceful and full of gardens and parks (which we found refreshing in comparison to the many building sites in the Golden Sands). The rooms were equipped with everything (although a bit too lavishly decorated for my taste), my husband said they made him feel like royalty   and the services at the hotel were plenty.

I stayed at the hotel with business partners while attending a business seminar which was organized at the hotel conference hall. I can’t really say I got to see much of the city, because my trip was work related, but I was impressed with the organization of the event and at the professionalism at the staff at the hotel (although I must admit I was somewhat skeptical to begin with). The food was wonderful- very unique and diverse (while some of my colleagues didn’t really appreciate the traditional Bulgarian food as much as I, did have a lot of other choices available off the a la carte menu.

The best thing about this hotel is that it is very close to the sea and that it has wonderful views of the sea park. Room was very comfortable and lady came to clean it every day. Breakfast bufet had many choice and was very tasty. Also you can use fitness room for free which has many machines for working out.

DIVESTA HOTEL

I found this hotel to be very convenient for sightseeing. It was very peaceful because it is right next to the sea park which is quite pleasant for strolls and walks. I discovered some really good restaurants and cafes on my own, but the woman at the reception also recommended some places like the Aquarium (which I didn't visit by the way). One of my favourite things was having my morning coffee on the top terrace because it has great views of the city.

My mum and I did a LOT of research before booking this hotel and now that we’re back form our trip, I wanted to share my opinion of it. Honestly I was surprised to find out that it is even more central and more beautiful than we’d thought. The area around it is full of great shops and boutiques and if you’re a shopaholic (like we are) you would certainly appreciate it. The inside of the hotel is even better looking than in the pictures- very posh and classy. We had dinner at the restaurant once and the food was excellent. My mum said that the Bulgarian which our waiter recommended was very good (but I don’t know much about wine). Overall I would definitely recommend to anyone and would rate it as excellent.
